  2. I just have to ask, how do you all upload an image? I don’t see the upload button. All I see is this add media with image, video, audio and media option.

When i click it, it quickly said, “Are you sure you want to do this?” and directly below “Please try again”. That’s all!?!?!

When i click the the “please try again”.. it directs me to the manage page… so, where is the upload function? all i want is to upload an image to supplement my post.

I am using FF 2.0.0.13. Yes cleared cache already. Anything that I missed here? Please help. Thank you.

  3. @papajoneh: If your getting errors like that then you have an incompatible plugin activated. That error comes from the nonce check code and it can only be being triggered by a plugin as no nonces are used when displaying that page.

Please check for updates to your plugins.

  4. Peter Thanks. Now I am sure its one of my plugin’s problem. I deactivate all and the upload pop up works. Thanks for reminding me this simple basic prep before complaining. 😀

  5. Well guess what? after I refreshed the cache I found in the upper left corner the very link I was looking for. sorry bout that. Looks great! Thanks

  6. I updated my newer blog last night and am currently looking around the backend.

So far the auto -upgrade plug-in does not work for me, it brings me to a page which says
“The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@shouldbefamous.wonderlandornot.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

And the gregarious plug-in doesn’t work with 2.5

I’m haven’t upgrades my main blog yet and am wondering if the error above could be due to the fact that the other blog is an addon domain and installation?

  7. @cooper: That sounds like an error occurred during the upgrade process either due to server configuration or a bug in WordPress. It would be good if you could look in the error log for your site and raise a ticket in trac with the information required to reproduce the error so we can look into it in more detail.

  8. Hey can anyone help me resolve the issues I have been having when I try to ‘Insert a Link’ or ‘Insert and Image’ in the WP 2.5 WYSIWIG editor? Neither one works for me (in Firefox 2.0.0.13 anyway). And also, the editor still messes with the post contents upon editing, even though it was promised that this issue was to be taken care of.

Can anyone who has 2.5 working correctly help me out? In any case, I’m sure they will release a patch upgrade for this soon, as it seems a LARGE number of people are having a lot of problems with this new release. Thanks a lot everyone (and WordPress is still awesome, I do appreciate all the developer’s efforts a LOT, don’t get me wrong!)

  9. hey pete, just wanted to let you know i nearly have that gallery prob sorted out. A kind fellow wordpress user helped me out big time, just some design issues needing to be addressed and its all good. Thanx for everyones help, just goes to show what a wicked community wordpres has.

  10. I just did a svn up command and it updates so easy and I refreshed WP and it updated the data base in like a sec. It’s super good WP. I test out putting a photo in it. It’s been just putting it at the top of the text. Not were you stop typing. It still has this error. It should put the photo were the curser is. I just cut and paste it were I left off typing.

  11. The new interface is just horrible. I’m finding it’s taking several more clicks to get things done than before.

Also, when I change a category, the post slug doesn’t change unless I leave the editor and come back (after having found where WP has hidden draft posts).

  12. I agree with complaints about the image gallery! It really sucks when high-usage functionality is lost! The very-common simple task of adding an image image or two was always more complex than necessary. And now it’s worse! Tsk Tsk.
